HC Deb 15 May 1930 vol 238 c2068W
Mr. GRANVILLE

asked the Postmaster-General if he is aware that a letter posted at Stowmarket on Friday night is not delivered to Stowupland, which is two miles away, until Monday morning; and if he will take steps to institute a second post at Stowupland, which is now an adjunct of the town of Stowmarket?

Mr. LEES-SMITH

Letters posted at the Stowmarket head post office on Friday night, or up to 4 a.m. on Saturday, should connect with the first delivery on Saturday at Stowupland. A second delivery is already provided at Stowupland, except in the Mill Street area where the amount of correspondence available is not sufficient to justify it.
