HC Deb 08 May 1930 vol 238 cc1149-50W
Mr. MANDER

asked the Postmaster-General if he is prepared to enter into negotiations with the Belgian Sabena Company, which is now running a night-flying aeroplane service between Brussels and Croydon, with a view to letters posted in London in the evening being delivered next morning in Brussels and vice versa?

Mr. LEES-SMITH

This service has been available for letters posted in this country since its inauguration on 14th April, and air mail correspondence has been despatched by it regularly. I am sending the hon. Member a copy of the announcement which was made in the Press shortly before the service started.
