HC Deb 05 November 1929 vol 231 cc879-80W
Mr. O. BALDWIN

asked the Secretary of State for War if the Government intend to abolish the death penalty in the Army?

Mr. SHAW

The question whether any modification shall be introduced into the provisions of the Army Act relating to the death penalty will fall to be considered in connection with next year's Army and Air Force (Annual) Bill, and I am not in a position to anticipate the decision.
