HC Deb 05 November 1929 vol 231 c853W
Mr. WOMERSLEY

asked the Postmaster-General if he has received from the Cleethorpes Urban District Council a letter asking for improved postal facilities, particularly in regard to an earlier morning delivery of letters and an additional delivery to take place in the evening; and what action he intends taking in this matter?

Mr. LEES-SMITH

The council's request for an earlier morning delivery is receiving attention, and proposals which provide for earlier completion are in hand. An additional delivery in the evening would not be warranted under present conditions.
