HC Deb 02 May 1929 vol 227 c1732W
Mr. HARRIS

asked the Minister of Health whether he has had any report from his inspectors recently as to the conditions under which men live and work at the Belmont Colony, Surrey; and, if not, whether he will have an inquiry made into the conditions prevailing there?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

One of my inspectors recently visited this institution, which, as the hon. Member is aware, is being reorganised—and the report is being printed. I shall be pleased to send the hon. Member a copy when available. A further inspection is to be made to ascertain what progress is being achieved.
