HC Deb 17 July 1929 vol 230 c454W
Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANS

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether he is aware of the overcrowded and unhealthy condition of the existing tax office accommodation in 17, North Audloy Street; and whether he will indicate how soon it is anticipated that the re-conditioning and allocation of the additional accommodation now available in this building for tax offices will be completed?

Mr. LANSBURY

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. A scheme has now been agreed with the occupying departments which will remedy the conditions of which complaint has been made, and it is expected that the reconditioning and the reallocation of the premises will be put in hand at an early date.
