§ Mr. LEES-SMITHThe hon. and gallant Member no doubt refers to the telephone exchange now in course of construction at Abinger Hammer. The building work in connection with this exchange was begun on 3rd June last, and was expected to be completed last month; but failure of the contractors caused some delay. It is hoped, however, that the new contractors will complete the building at the end of February next, and that the exchange will be opened for telephone business about four months later.
