HC Deb 09 December 1929 vol 233 c53W
Mr. ROSS

asked the Postmaster-General how many post offices and railway stations in Northern Ireland have not yet been equipped with public telephones; and how many of these it is proposed to equip with public telephones in the course of the next year?

Mr. LEES-SMITH

124 public telephones have recently been provided or authorised at rural post offices and railway stations in Northern Ireland. The question whether telephones can be provided at a number of the remaining 280 offices and stations without such facilities is under consideration.
