HC Deb 24 April 1928 vol 216 c822W
Colonel WEDGWOOD

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has any information as to the assault on Indians and an African in the Masai reserve when the white jury stopped the proceedings in spite of the judge; and whether, in view of the effect of such incidents on the relations between Indians and Europeans in Kenya, he will call for a report to consider what steps should be taken to avoid such incidents in Kenya?

Mr. AMERY

I have now seen an account of these proceedings in the local Press, but they are not sufficient to lead me to any conclusion. I am asking the-Governor to forward me a copy of the evidence and a report on the case.
