HC Deb 24 February 1927 vol 202 cc1933-4W
Mr. HORE-BELISHA

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he will give the comparative figures for the Navy, Army and Air Force of the sums payable for travelling and other expenses in respect of wives of officers who may join their husbands abroad?

Mr. McNEILL

The hon. Member will find the conditions under which these expenses are allowed set out in Articles 840 and 1676 of the King's Regulations and Admiralty Instructions, 1926; paragraphs 281 and 388 to 400 of the Regulations for the allowances of the Army, 1924; and Articles 2982, 3080, 3082, 3083 and 3086 of the King's Regulations and Air Council Instructions, 1924. Comparative figures of the sums paid there-under are not available, as such charges are not separately recorded.
