§ Major TRYONThere are at the moment 201 women in this Department who have received two months' notice of the impending termination of their services at the end of December. Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer these women to other Government Departments. The Ministry is, however, . in touch with a number of private employers, and is doing its best to enable these officers to secure employment outside by affording them facilities, during office hours, for interviewing prospective employers.
