§ Mr. LAMBasked the Minister of Agriculture whether his Ministry has decided 945W to approve of the payment of travelling expenses and subsistence allowances to representatives of agricultural labour attending meetings of county agricultural committees; and whether it is proposed to limit this payment to representatives of one class only?
§ Mr. BUXTONThe Ministry has informed county councils that in those counties in which the scheme for the constitution of the agricultural committee provides, or is amended so as to provide, for the payment of such expenses, it will be prepared to repay the travelling expenses and subsistence paid by the council to any representatives of agricultural labour, including representatives of smallholders, in respect of attendances at meetings of the county agricultural committee or its sub-committees., Repayment by the Ministry is limited to these representatives.
