§ The SOLICITOR-GENERAL for SCOTLANDMy Noble Friend the Secretary for Scotland is not satisfied that there is any sufficient purpose to be served by appointing such a Commission. Every endeavour, however, is being made by administrative action to meet the prevailing distress which has been caused by a failure of the crops due to the extraordinarily bad weather which was almost continuous last summer in the Western Isles.
