§ Colonel WEDGWOODasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the £1,500,000 to be allotted for emigration was budgeted for in 1922–23, or whether the money must be debited to the £25,000,000 allocated to Supplementary Estimates?
Mr. YOUNG£500,000 is provided for Overseas Settlement in the Estimate for Class II, Vote 7. The balance is one of the items not provided for in the original Estimate 1922–23, in view of which my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer has received the sum of £25,000,000 for possible Supplementary Estimates.
