§ Colonel WEDGWOODasked the Prime Minister whether his attention has been drawn to the Report of the Departmental Committee on Allotments and its recommendation that the Regulations as to acquiring the use of land for allotments made under the Defence of the Realm Act should, with modifications, be reenacted; and, in view of the amount of short time now being worked, whether he will take the necessary steps in this direction?

As indicated in the King's Speech, the Government propose to intro- 849W duce during the present Session a Bill following on the Report of the Departmental Committee to which the hon. and gallant Member refers, and the recommendations of that Committee are receiving careful consideration in the preparation of the Bill.
