HC Deb 26 April 1922 vol 153 c561W
Colonel WEDGWOOD

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether he is aware that the inspector-general of prisons, Bombay Presidency, gave evidence at Karachi recently that he had received orders from the Bombay Government to make no distinction between political and ordinary prisoners in gaol; and will he inquire from the Bombay government whether this is the considered attitude of that government at the present time?

Earl WINTERTON

No, Sir. But if the hon. and gallant Member will let me know on what he bases his suggestion, I shall be glad to inquire.
