§ The Lord Chancellor (Lord Mackay of Clashfern)My Lords, before the commencement of business, I take the opportunity to inform the House that with the approval of Her Majesty the Queen I am to attend the Commonwealth Law Conference in Nicosia, Cyprus between the dates of Tuesday 4th May and Friday 7th May 1993. Accordingly, I trust that the House will grant me leave of absence from Tuesday 4th May to Thursday 6th May 1993.
