HL Deb 24 October 1990 vol 522 c1413

86 Clause 34, page 28, line 13, leave out 'subject to the provisions of this Part'.

The Lord Chancellor

My Lords, I beg to move that the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 86. I shall speak also to Amendments Nos. 90, 92, 96 and 97. They are essentially technical but at the same time important amendments. At a late stage it was noticed that the provisions which were meant to apply only to conveyancing had by an accident of drafting assumed a role which they were not intended to have. The amendments limit the clauses to conveyancing as was always the intention.

Moved, That the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 86. —(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
