HL Deb 08 November 1989 vol 512 cc807-8

195 Clause 53, page 49, line 26, leave out 'registered'.

The Lord Chancellor

My Lords, I beg to move that the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 195. I shall speak also to Amendments Nos. 202, 203, 204, 213 and 352. The first five amendments in this group remove the word "registered" from Clause 53 and Clause 60. They are intended to allow the provisions of those clauses to apply to a private children's home whether or not it is registered. Amendment No. 352 makes a consequential amendment to the reference to children's homes in paragrah 2 of Schedule 7 dealing with privately fostered children.

Moved, That the House do agree wih the Commons in the said amendment.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
