My Lords, I beg to move the second of the two Motions standing in my name on the Order Paper.

In accordance with my statement to the House on 11th February, I have appointed Mr. John Michael Davies to be Reading Clerk and Clerk of Outdoor Committees in place of Mr. Michael Addison John Wheeler-Booth, appointed Clerk Assistant of the Parliaments. I therefore beg to move.

Moved, That this House do approve the appointment by the Lord Chancellor, pursuant to the Clerk of the Parliaments Act 1824, of John Michael Davies, Esquire, as Reading Clerk and Clerk of Outdoor Committees of the House in place of Michael Addison John Wheeler-Booth, Esquire, appointed Clerk Assistant.—(The Lord Chancellor.)
