§ The Lord Chancellor (Lord Hailsham of Saint Marylebone)My Lords, before the commencement of business, I take the opportunity to inform the House that I have accepted an invitation to attend upon Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Gloucester when she opens the new offices of the Asthma Research Council on Wednesday, 21st May 1986. Accordingly, I trust that the House will agree to grant me leave of absence on Wednesday, 21st May.
