§ The Lord Chancellor (Lord Hailsham of Saint Marylebone)My Lords, before the commencement of business, I take the opportunity to inform the House that I have accepted an invitation from the Prime Minister to attend a lunch in honour of the President of the Federal Republic of West Germany on 2nd July. Accordingly, I trust that the House will agree to grant me leave of absence for Wednesday, 2nd July 1986.
