§ Lord Mackay of ClashfernMy Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 116. I should also like to speak to Amendment No. 172. Amendment No. 172 ensures that, where appropriate, the provisions of the Bill which are applicable to public companies and companies other than private companies apply also to old public companies within the meaning of Section 8 of the Companies Act 1980. Amendment No. 116 is consequential on that. My Lords, I beg to move.
