§ The Lord Chancellor (Lord Hailsham of Saint Marylebone)My Lords, before the commencement o business I take the opportunity to inform the House that, with the approval of Her Majesty the Queen, I have accepted an invitation from the President of the Italian Senate to visit Rome and address the Senate on Wednesday, 25th November. This will involve my being out of the country on Wednesday, 25th and Thursday, 26th November, and I trust that the House will agree to grant me leave of absence for those two days.
