HL Deb 04 April 1979 vol 399 cc1953-4
The LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, I have to notify the House, in accordance with the Royal Assent Act 1967, that the Queen has signified her Royal Assent to the following Acts:

Baroness LLEWELYN-DAVIES of HASTOE

My Lords, since this is the last sitting day of this parliamentary Session, I hope, with the leave of the House, that we on these Benches may send best wishes to noble Lords in all parts of the House, and say how very much we look forward to seeing them again and in the same juxtaposition as we find ourselves today.

Lord DENHAM

My Lords, on behalf of these Benches, I should like to thank the noble Baroness the Captain of the Gentlemen-at-Arms for what she has said, and to echo it. I think the expression that springs to mind is mutatis mutandis.

Baroness LLEWELYN-DAVIES of HASTOE

My Lords, I had always understood that foreign languages were forbidden!
