HL Deb 27 July 1977 vol 386 cc1080-1

166 After Clause 103, insert the following new clause:

Licences granted by order of comptroller

. Any order for the grant of a licence under section 10, 35, 45 or 46 above shall, without prejudice to any other method of enforcement, have effect as if it were a deed, executed by the proprietor of the patent and all other necessary parties, granting a licence in accordance with the order.

The LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No 166. This Amendment has already been spoken to be my noble friend Lord Oram. Perhaps I should remind your Lordships that the clause has been inserted to cover a purely technical defect and is another of those points which the noble Lord, Lord Lloyd of Kilgerran, would describe as a pure Chancery point.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
