Lord WINTERBOTTOM

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 118 to 124 en bloc. This group of. Amendments are minor Amendments the first four being concerned with improving the wording of subsection 1(d) of Section 2 of the Children Act 1948, so as to make its meaning more clearly understood; and the other three being concerned with defining the circumstances in which a resolution passed by a local authority assuming parental rights and duties in respect of a child in its care would cease to apply. I beg to move.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.—(Lord Winterbottom.)
