EARL ST. ALDWYN rose to move, That the record in the Minutes of Proceedings of Thursday, May 13, relating to the Amendment on which the closure was moved by the Earl of Halsbury be amended so as to read as follows:—

"an Amendment moved and a debate arising thereupon, it was moved "That the Question be now put" (The Earl of Halsbury); objected to and, on Question (there being no tellers for the Contents), disagreed to; then the Amendment (by leave of the Committee) withdrawn."

The noble Earl said: My Lords, on behalf of my noble friend the Leader of the House, I beg to move the second Motion standing in his name on the Order Paper. The Procedure Committee have recommended in their Sixth Report, to which you have just agreed, that the record of the Proceedings on May 13 should be vacated and that the Minutes of Proceedings be amended in the terms of this Motion, I beg to move.
