HL Deb 28 May 1970 vol 310 cc1179-80

Returned from the Commons, with a further Amendment to the Bill.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, I beg to move that the further Commons Amendment to the Administration of Justice Bill be now considered.

Moved accordingly, and, on Question, Motion agreed to.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, I beg to move that the House doth agree with the Commons in their further Amendment. The further Amendment is: Schedule 2, page 39, line 18, leave out from ("Rolls") to end of line 19 and insert (", the President of the Family Division and the Vice-Chancellor"). This Amendment was carried in the Commons but was not carried into the Bill as it came up to your Lordships from the Commons. The Bill was accordingly returned to the Commons, and this Amendment has now been made. It is purely consequential to Amendments 1 and 2 which were considered by your Lordships on Tuesday of last week. I beg to move.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in their further Amendment.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
