HL Deb 27 February 1969 vol 299 cc1202-3

3.23 p.m.

Read 3ª, with the Amendments.

THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF LISTOWEL)

My Lords, with the permission of the House, I should like to move the Amendments that are proposed to this Bill—namely, the Amendments to Clauses 3, 6 and 8—en bloc. These Amendments are all either drafting Amendments or are consequential upon Amendments which have already been made to the Bill. Therefore it might save the time of the House to take them en bloc. I beg to move.

Amendments moved— Clause 3, page 3, lines 7 and 8, leave out "and this Act"; Clause 6, page 7, line 6, leave out "Prohibition" and insert "Penalisation"; Clause 6, page 9, line 1, leave out "the said"; Clause 6, line 2, leave out "the said"; Clause 8, page 10, line 13, leave out "insert" and substitute "there shall be inserted"; Clause 8, page 10, line 35, after "of" insert "the".

—(The Earl of Listowel.)

On Question, Amendments agreed to.

Bill passed, and returned to the Commons.
