HL Deb 04 July 1968 vol 294 cc545-6

7.12 p.m.

LORD BESWICK

My Lords, it may be for the convenience of the House if I say, following the exchanges that we had yesterday about the Transport Bill, that it has now been agreed that we should not take that Bill on Monday, but should concentrate on completing the Town and Country Planning Bill. It is then intended, if the Theatres Bill is not completed to-morrow, Friday, that we shall conclude the Committee stage on Monday next.

EARL ST. ALDWYN

My Lords, I am grateful to the noble Lord for making that Statement. Should I be right in assuming that it is not intended that this House should sit after 4 p.m. to-morrow, Friday?

LORD BESWICK

My Lords, my view is that it will be for the general convenience of all concerned if we rise at 4 o'clock to-morrow.
