HL Deb 28 June 1956 vol 198 cc126-7
EARL ST. ALDWYN

My Lords, this scheme extends for another year the arrangements for the fertiliser subsidy which was first paid in 1952. The scheme relates to the fertiliser year ending on June 30. In accordance with the decision at this year's Annual Review, the rates of subsidy are being increased in such a way as to increase the total amount payable by £3 million in a full year. I beg to move.

Moved, That the Draft Fertilisers (England, Wales and Scotland) Scheme, 1956, reported from the Special Orders Committee on the 13th of June, be approved.—(Earl St. Aldwyn.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
