HL Deb 28 July 1953 vol 183 cc1000-1

Clause 10, page 6, line 30, leave out ("or four") and insert ("four or eight")

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, this Amendment is consequential on the new clause about the suspension of the heavy goods vehicles driving licence scheme. The effect of the Amendment is to secure that an order made by the Minister of Transport under that clause appointing a day for the reintroduction of the scheme is subject to Negative Resolution procedure. It is substantially a drafting Amendment. I beg to move that this House do agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.

Moved, That this House do agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
