HL Deb 07 March 1939 vol 112 cc1-2
THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF ONSLOW)

My Lords, I beg to move that in respect of the Royal Wanstead School Bill Standing Order No. 105 be considered in order to its being dispensed with. The Standing Order requires that this Bill, being a local Bill, should be read a second time not earlier than the fourth nor later than the seventh day after its First Reading. It was read a first time on February 7, and has been waiting for the Attorney-General's Report. That is why I now ask your Lordships to suspend the Standing Order.

Moved, That Standing Order No. 105 be considered in order to its being dispensed with in respect of the said Bill.—(The Earl of Onslow.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

THE EARL OF ONSLOW

I beg to move that the Bill be now read a second time.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 2a.—(The Earl of Onslow.)

On Question, Bill read 2a, and committed.
