HL Deb 13 December 1938 vol 111 cc543-4
LORD SNELL

My Lords, I should like to ask the noble Earl the Leader of the House if he has any statement to make about business.

THE FIRST LORD OF THE ADMIRALTY (EARL STANHOPE)

My Lords, it is hoped that we shall adjourn for the Christmas recess on Thursday, December 22. There will be a Royal Commission that day. I propose to ask your Lordships to meet again on February 7—a week later, I understand, than another place is likely to meet—unless it is found necessary in the public interest to ask the noble and learned Lord the Lord Chancellor to summon the House to meet at an earlier date.

House adjourned at twenty minutes before seven o'clock.
