HL Deb 31 July 1928 vol 71 c1487
THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURY)

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion which stands in my name in reference to Standing Order No. XXXIX. I hope the noble Earl, Lord Beauchamp, will see how greatly those of us who sit on the Government Bench value his advice.

Moved, That Standing Order No. XXXIX be considered in order to its being suspended for the remainder of the Session.—(The Marquess of Salisbury.)

EARL BEAUCHAMP

I am much obliged to the noble Marquess. If my advice were taken oftener I should be still more flattered.

On Question, Motion agreed to, and Standing Order No. XXXIX suspended accordingly.
