LORD BANBURY OF SOUTHAM had given Notice to ask His Majesty's Government whether they are aware that the Civil Service expenditure, omitting war pensions, is three tunes what it was before the War and five times what it was before 1906, and when they propose to reduce it by a substantial amount. The noble Lord said: My Lords, I desire to postpone my Question until a day next week.
