LORD MUIR MACKENZIE

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion standing in my name on the Paper. It is a Motion which your Lordships pass every Session. It is very important that it should be taken as soon as possible, because there are already several Consolidation Bills upon your Lordships' Paper.

Moved to resolve, That it is desirable that all Consolidation Bills in the present Session be referred to a Joint Committee of both Houses of Parliament.

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Ordered, That a Message be sent to the Commons to communicate this Resolution, and to desire their concurrence.
