HL Deb 03 July 1924 vol 58 cc205-6

Page 1, line 14, leave out from the first ("landlord") to ("for") in line 17.

The Commons disagree with this Amendment, but propose the following Amendment to the Bill, page 1, line 15, leave out ("owner by purchase of the dwelling-house ") and insert (" landlord by purchasing the dwelling-house or any interest therein ").

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

I come now to the first Amendment, as to which I understand that your Lordships do not insist. I therefore move that this House does not insist upon its Amendment and agrees with the Commons in their Amendment.

Moved, That this House doth not insist upon the said Amendment and agrees with the Amendment made by the Commons in lieu thereof.—(The Lord Chancellor.)
