HL Deb 17 December 1919 vol 38 cc364-5

Amendments reported (according to Order).

VISCOUNT SANDHURST

I have some Amendments, but can assure you they are all drafting and do not alter the principle of the Bill in any sense or degree. I therefore move them en bloc.

Amendments moved— Clause 3, page 4, line 3, after ("void") insert ("and if modified it shall thenceforth have effect as so modified"). Clause 6, page 5, line 9, after ("registered") leave out ("as a nurse") and insert ("either generally as a nurse for the sick or as a nurse of some special class")

Clause 6, page 5, line 15, after ("registered") insert ("in a corresponding manner").

Clause, 8, page 6, line 16, leave out ("If any person") and insert ("Any person who "(a)")

Clause, 8, page 6, line 24, leave out (" If any person ") and insert: ("(b) being a person whose name is included in any part of the register, at any time after the expiration of the period aforesaid takes or uses any name, title, addition, description, uniform or badge, or otherwise does any act of any kind, implying that his name is included in swim other part of the register; or (c)")

Clause, 8, page 6, line 26, leave out ("he").

Clause 9, page 6, line 36, leave out ("(No. 2)").—(Viscount Sandhurst.)

On Question, Amendments agreed to.

Bill to be read 3a to-morrow.
