§ LORD WILLINGDONI have to ask your Lordships to allow me to insert two Amendments in this Bill. Under the Bill as it now stands the Lanarkshire County Council have to pay back certain principal and interest to the Clyde Valley Electrical Power Company, in the matter of principal in twenty years and in the matter of interest in two years. The Lanarkshire County Council have made representation to the 796 Secretary for Scotland and have asked for an extension of time which my right hon. friend has considered reasonable. The purpose of the two Amendments standing in my name is to extend the time for the repayment of principal to twenty-five years and so far as interest is concerned to three years.
