Clause 1:

The SECRETARY for SCOTLAND (Lord PENTLAND) moved to add to Clause I, which repealed Section five of the Wild Animals in Captivity Protection Act, 1900, the words "and the said Act shall apply to Scotland with the substitution of the Cruelty to Animals (Scotland) Acts, 1850 & 1895, for the Cruelty to Animals Acts, 1849 & 1851."

Amendment moved— In page 1, line 6, after the word 'repealed' to insert the words 'and the said Act shall apply to Scotland with the substitution of the Cruelty to, Animals (Scotland) Acts 1850 and 1895, for the Cruelty to Animals Acts, 1849 and 1854'"—(Lord Pentland.)
