HL Deb 12 March 1891 vol 351 c732

Order of the Day for the Second Reading, read.

LORD MACNAGHTEN

I have to ask your Lordships to give a Second Reading to this Bill, which has passed the House of Commons. It relates only to Ireland, and its object is the better preservation of the Pollen Fisheries by making it illegal to take or sell under-sized fish. I need only mention that it has the approbation of the Fisheries Board in Ireland, and I move now that it be read a second time.

Bill read 2a (according to order), and committed to a Committee of the whole House to-morrow.
