HL Deb 19 March 1886 vol 303 c1349
THE LORD CHANCELLOR (Lord HERSCHELL)

said, that by some inadvertence this Bill had been put down that day for the Report stage, whereas it had been intended merely to adjourn the Committee stage with a view to the consideration of the postponed clauses. The best way out of the difficulty would be for him to move their Lordships to agree to the Report, and then to move that the Bill be re-committed next Monday with a view to the consideration of the postponed clauses.

Amendments reported (according to order); and Bill re-committed to a Committee of the Whole House on Monday the 29th instant.
