HL Deb 08 July 1884 vol 290 cc374-5
EARL DE LA WARR

I wish to ask a Question of which I have given the noble Lord opposite (Lord Carrington) private Notice—namely, whether any additional information has been received by the Local Government Board with respect to mortality from cholera in France?

LORD CARRINGTON

The only information I can give is a telegram which we have received, and which states that there were 24 deaths yesterday at Marseilles. I am unable to say whether or not they are all from cholera. In Toulon, by another telegram, I find there were 14 deaths yesterday, all of them from cholera.
