asked whether the Committee would consider the ventilation of the House, which he thought might be considerably improved?

THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURY

If we are to consider all the defects of this House in reference to breathing, hearing, and seeing, there will be no end to the Committee's inquiries. I have no doubt that all defects on which suggestions are made to the Committee will be considered and reported on to the House; but I venture to prophesy that not one of them will be corrected.
