HL Deb 10 July 1862 vol 168 c131
LORD BROUGHAM

asked the noble Earl the Lord President what were the intentions of Her Majesty's Government with regard to the creation of a Department of Justice?

EARL GRANVILLE

was understood to say that the subject was a very large one, and he was not at that moment prepared to answer the noble Lord's question. He would endeavour to give an answer in a few days.

LORD BROUGHAM

said, that as he was obliged to leave town immediately, he feared others rather than himself would benefit by the information.
