then announced to the House, that he had a Message from the Queen to communicate to their Lordships. His Lordship then placed the Message in the hands of the Lord Chancellor, who read it to their Lord ships:— VICTORIA REGINA.—Her Majesty being desirous, upon the decease of her late Uncle, of making competent provision for the support and maintenance of his Royal Highness the Duke of Can bridge and of the Princess Mary, relies on the attachment of the House of Lords to adopt such measures as may be necessary.
