HL Deb 19 April 1848 vol 98 cc507-8

Bill read 3a.

LORD MONTEAGLE moved to disagree to the Amendment made on Report.

LORD CAMPBELL said that his objection to the Bill had been considerably mitigated by the Amendment: he hoped the Bill would not be rejected elsewhere. He was afraid the withdrawal of the Amendment would now bring the Bill into the state in which it was rejected on a former occasion; but if the alteration should be adopted by the other House of Parliament, he thought the measure would be much less objectionable.

Resolved in the Affirmative.

Bill passed.

House adjourned.
