HL Deb 25 May 1846 vol 86 c1084
The DUKE of WELLINGTON

My Lords, I have to announce to your Lordships, that Her Majesty was safely delivered of a Princess this day, at three o'clock in the afternoon. I have, therefore, according to the usual practice, to move that an humble Address be presented to Her Majesty, to congratulate Her Majesty on the birth of another Princess, and to assure Her Majesty that any addition to Her Majesty's domestic happiness affords the highest satisfaction to the House of Lords.

VISCOUNT MELBOURNE

I beg leave to support the Motion, and to second it without a word of comment, as I feel that any such would be quite unnecessary.

Address agreed to, ordered to be presented by the Lords with white staves.
